Terms of service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service are a legal agreement between you and Steward Labs, Inc. ("Steward," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using Steward, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you use Steward for an organization or on behalf of another person, you represent that you have authority to do so.

2. The service

Steward is a household-planning service that helps people organize schedules, reminders, goals, routines, meals, connected information, and related household details. Features may use automation or artificial intelligence to prepare suggestions and identify useful details.

Steward provides planning assistance, not professional medical, legal, financial, tax, or emergency advice. Review suggestions and source details before relying on them. You remain responsible for decisions, approvals, and actions taken through your account.

3. Accounts and households

Keep your device and account credentials secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity authorized through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your access has been compromised.

Household membership does not automatically grant access to another member's personal sources. Use sharing controls only for information you are authorized to share, and respect the choices of other household members.

4. Connected services

You may choose to connect third-party services such as Gmail. You authorize Steward to access the selected service only for the permissions shown during connection and for the user-facing purposes described in Steward and our Privacy Policy.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and may change, suspend, or revoke access. Steward is not responsible for third-party service availability. You can disconnect an integration through Steward or, where available, through the third party.

5. Acceptable use and your content

You retain ownership of information you provide. You grant Steward a limited licence to host, process, and display that information only as needed to operate, protect, and improve the service for you.

Do not use Steward to break the law, violate another person's rights, access information without authorization, distribute harmful code, interfere with the service, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or create accounts through deceptive or automated means.

6. Steward's rights

Steward and its licensors own the service, software, brand, and related materials, excluding your content. These terms do not grant you ownership of Steward or permission to use our branding except to identify the service.

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, prevent abuse, or address a material violation of these terms. You may stop using Steward and request account deletion at any time.

7. Availability, disclaimers, and liability

Steward is evolving and may be offered as a preview or beta. Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, Steward is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, Steward Labs, Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as Steward changes. If an update materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the app, website, or another appropriate channel. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Ontario will have jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law requires another forum.
